Hello, I'm Mark, a freelance developer based in London. I started out building with WordPress, but these days I focus on creating functional and bespoke web page interfaces using React,Astro,Next.js,TypeScript,Convex, and other web technologies. I have over 20 years of experience working with customers, listening and understanding their needs.
What I Do
I design and build bespoke websites, web applications and ongoing product work — usually working directly with founders and small teams, from first idea through to something real people use.
Currently Building
RoughCut is a video platform we're building for newsrooms and journalists — it turns real archive footage into finished stories, using AI to speed things up while people still make every creative call.
DayNote is a private activity log for one allergy clinician — it records the clinic day without ever recording a name. I've written up how it was built.
